Goals 
- Engage a
broad and diverse group of participants representing
relevant campus and community partners, to oversee,
coordinate and implement a comprehensive suicide
prevention program, including screening, education,
crisis management, policy development, and outreach
activities;
- Perform
wide-ranging surveillance of suicide risk and
response on the OSU campus;
- Develop
an extensive gatekeepers training system based on
emerging best practices that increases knowledge of
suicide risk factors, imminent warning signs,
prevention strategies, referral resources, and
protective mechanisms;
- Expand
suicide prevention education and programming to all
students to increase knowledge of suicide risk
factors, imminent warning signs, prevention
strategies, referral resources, and protective
mechanisms;
- Increase
help-seeking and decrease stigma among students;
- Develop a
comprehensive Suicide Prevention Plan for The Ohio
State University;
- Evaluate
all components of the OSU campus Suicide Prevention
Program and disseminate outcome measurements to
appropriate audiences.
