How can my department, college, or academic program partner with RUOK? Buckeyes

You may be wondering how you can bring the RUOK? Buckeyes program to your graduate students. Thankfully, it is easy to partner with RUOK? Buckeyes! Please see below for how RUOK? Buckeyes can be implemented in your program in a few easy steps:

  1. The department/college/academic program will be assigned a point of contact to lead them through the process from start to finish.
  2. The department/college/academic program will be asked to schedule a ‘Partner 1 Meeting’ to determine their ‘roll-out date’ – this is the date an email invitation with a link to The Questionnaire will be sent to students.
    • Roll-Outs can be scheduled in the Autumn or Spring semesters depending on the needs of the department/college/academic program.
  3. The RUOK? Buckeyes point person works with the department/college/academic program to customize templates to four emails:
    • Preview email for students
    • Informational email for staff/faculty
    • Invitation email for students (with a unique live link for the Questionnaire)
    • Reminder email for students to complete The Questionnaire
  4. Students receive three emails from their graduate department.
    • The first introduces the department/college/academic program’s partnership with RUOK? Buckeyes.
    • A second invites them to complete a confidential and anonymous Stress & Depression Questionnaire.
      • The link is only live for a one-week window beginning with the roll-out date.
      • A licensed professional counselor evaluates the completed questionnaires.
      • Graduate student participants receive a personalized written assessment from the counselor through a portal that ensures anonymous communication.
      • Participants are invited to correspond with the counselor online to ask questions and discuss concerns about possible treatment and resources.
    • A third reminder email sent on the 4th day of the screening period.
  5. A “Partner 2 Meeting” is scheduled where a de-identified report is shared detailing results and recommendations for additional student support strategies and next steps.
