Survivors of Suicide Loss Luminary
On International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, commonly referred to as Survivors' Day, individuals affected by suicide come together to find comfort and understanding as they navigate their healing journeys.
Our annual Luminary event is inspired by this day and creates a space for survivors of suicide loss to come together to find connection, understanding, and hope through their shared experiences.
Stay tuned for next year's event on the South Oval.
RECAP of 2025 Survivors of Suicide Loss Luminary
In November, OSUSPP hosted a Survivors of Suicide Loss Luminary event in observance of this meaningful day. This gathering offered students the opportunity to come together, foster a sense of community, and share hope. Together, they learned how to engage in advocacy efforts and work towards fostering a campus culture of care.
Participants in the event enjoyed hot chocolate and treats, received a hope and healing kit, created personalized remembrance candles, and learned about local resources available for those who have experienced a suicide loss in collaboration with Franklin County LOSS.
