Project Semicolon
A Mental Health Organization - Your story isn't over.
Semicolon event arranged by Buckeye Campaign Against Suicide (BCAS)
- Date: Monday, September 30, 2024 at 7pm
- Location: Larkins Plaza (outside of RPAC).
Project Semicolon is an international non-profit with the mission to take action to reduce suicide and improve support for those affected by suicide. The semicolon has become a common symbol of suicide prevention. Inspired by Project Semicolon's mission, Buckeye Campaign Against Suicide (BCAS) holds the annual Semicolon Project event. During this event, volunteering club members engage with the OSU community by passing out stickers and buttons to students while informing them how to notice suicidal risks, warning signs, and resources that can help them or someone they know.
The mission of BCAS is to spread awareness about mental health resources on and off campus and end the stigma surrounding suicide and mental health. The Semicolon Project will aid in educating students about Project Semicolon, BCAS, OSU's Suicide Prevention Program, and OSU's mental health resources.
This event is connected to the larger and original Project Semicolon movement!
